Hi there – I’m Kelly Ann Acres!
Born and raised in Southern California, I now call Colorado home. I am a lifestyle blogger and entrepreneur. In 2012 I created The BAKA Blog to help women understand what makes them beautiful and the extraordinary power of expression in both personal style and interior design. This space is a curation of DIY projects, restaurant recommendations, my travel experiences, interior design tips, and snapshots of my daily life along the way.
I was inspired to start BAKA because of my love for interior design and organization, and an innate ability to connect with others. In 2018, I launched BAKA by Kelly Ann, a consulting and virtual assistant company dedicated to helping small business owners manage their online brand identity while providing administrative support. My mission is to help small business owners effectively communicate who they are and what they do in a way that is authentic to their vision. I also recently launched 12th and Madison, a boutique design firm specializing in custom website development, content curation, and graphic design with my dear friend and business partner Lili Foltz.
Throughout my career I’ve worked with a variety of industries including retail, finance, and graphic design. The common thread between all of my work experiences is my heart for authentic connection and leaving my clients feeling cared for with great attention to detail. I have over five years of experience in finance and business development as a client service representative working for a Denver Wealth Management firm. In addition to my professional experience, I have a Bachelor of Science in Apparel and Merchandising from Colorado State University, including a capstone in New York City emphasizing apparel design and production, merchandising, and interior design. While pursuing my degree I also completed extensive training in graphic design.
My passion for décor, design, and global travel are major influences in my work. I find joy in traveling with my husband, Cameron (we recently returned from a year abroad living in southeast France), all things food, holistic nutrition (I’m currently getting certified as nutrition therapy practitioner at Nutrition Therapy Institute of Denver), girls nights, photography and sourcing design inspiration.
This blog is a positive, intentional space focused on everything I love. My goal is to inspire you right where you are. Let’s talk some more, I would love to hear from you! Feel free to contact me here…
